Some host families have the use of childcare vouchers or may be eligible for government childcare support if their childcare provider is OFSTED REGISTERED.
We are therefore asking all applicants to be prepared to complete childcare and paediatric first aid courses and take out indemnity insurance, so that they can register with Ofsted.
Families who request this must be prepared to reimburse this cost once Ofsted registration is granted. To find out more about help paying for childcare, please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.

Ofsted registered candidates must be paid at least £350 towards training costs on completion of 3 months of work, and families should also review their pay and consider paying at a higher level.
FAMILY EMPLOYMENT OBLIGATIONS
You can do all this yourself to save money - see https://www.gov.uk/paye-for-employers/setting-up-payroll but we recommend Nanny tax to help you with this.
Cost of monthly payroll, employer’s liability insurance and pension service from Nanny tax is from £417 per annum (including a specially negotiated 10% discount on the payroll service).
The person undertaking this role will be employed but no tax or NI is required at the level of pay that this role is being promoted at.
You must have Employers liability insurance.
Families must register with the Inland revenue as an employer and produce a monthly payslip via a payroll – this can be done simply through Nanny tax and our customers will receive 10% discount on their Payroll service.
Auto-enrolment pension does not apply if gross pay is less than £10,000, but families must make a ‘declaration of compliance’.
We can give advice as to how to do this yourself or Nanny Tax can provide a pension service and give advice and guidance for £69 per annum. Please not that an employee is entitled to holiday, SSP and maternity pay.
Our fee for each placement is £395 (non-refundable) and a retention fee of £50 per month is chargeable for the duration of the applicants stay with your family and must be paid by standing order.
